BirdNote is proud to partner with Feather Friendly® to offer proven solutions that help prevent bird-window collisions. Each year, more than one billion birds in the U.S. are injured or killed after striking glass, often because reflections of sky and trees are misleading. Feather Friendly® markers break up those reflections, helping birds recognize glass as a barrier and avoid collisions.
Two options: white markers for reflective and combination glass, black markers for fly-through glass
Each order (not individual roll) includes the following:
- Roll(s) of Feather Friendly® Medium-format Pro DIY markers, two paper measuring tapes, two pattern guides, one squeegee, and one bird-safe sticker. Melody Pattern consists of Circular 1/4” markers pre-spaced at 1.25” x 1.75”. Each roll is 6in x 150ft, covering approximately 75 square feet of glass.
- Durability and longevity of 10+ years
Storage & Pre-install Instructions:
- Store markers out of direct sunlight or extreme heat and humidity.
- For windows and patio doors, apply markers to the outer surface (the exterior side). The markers will be less effective if not applied to the correct surface.
- For outdoor clear panels, apply markers to the side where more bird strikes occur.
- Do not apply markers when the outside temperature is below 10°C (50°F).
- Install the markers within 2 months of purchase for optimal results.
- Medium-scale Pro DIY Installation Video
Important Notes:
- Must be applied to the outside layer of glass (first exterior surface). If not applied to the correct surface, your glass markers will not be effective.
- Product will not damage glass surfaces or exterior glass coatings such as Solar Reflective, Low-E, or other glass treatments.
